IVERSITY: #design1o1 – Week 2

Montag, 18. November 2013

Also warum ich etwas weitermache?

/This five are made by me.
Das Zeichnen und Gezeichnet-Werden war lustig!/Here three friends of my drawed myself.

N°1: Get with a friend and make him/her draw your portrait. Then, draw your own self-portrait.

"I prefer drawing to talking. Drawing is faster and leaves less room for lies" Le Corbusier

To know how to do something is very important. To know what to do when we don't know something is even more important. (Iversity)

N°2: A paper world. How would you represent yourself (and your personal universe) in two dimensions? Create your own miniature world and share a picture of it will all of us.

How to: Kohlrabi mit Butter und Muskatnuss. Sehr zu empfehlen!

N°3: Today, you will cook once again, but this time, the main point to focus on will be about representing the recipe in a visual and interesting way. You have to set up something nice, and you have to communicate in a compelling wayIngredients ready? Share your "how-to"!

Design is the how to. Nothing less. Nothing more. (Iversity)

:) My shirt was a normal white shirt, on which I sewed a chain and fabric remnants. Do you see the little monster in it?

N°4: Make a shirt (or tee-shirt) for yourself. Draw, embroide, play with scissors, fabrics, glue or fire. Dowhateveryouwant but plan it carefully! Share some images with us... :-)

"Knowledge is not a skill. Knowledge plus ten thousand times is a skill" Shinichi Suzuki

Good design is to fix problems. Great design is to invent new problems to be fixed.

We can't be good in everything, but we can surely (each) be good in one thing.
Don't try to be famous. Try to be good.

N°5: Observe your room. Look at the objects you have around... Old things, new things. Very old things, very new things. Set up some relations between them and share a story with us!

Today I show you what I did during the second week of Iversity's Design 101. The instructions of each day you can read underneath the pictures.
I've been asked why I am doing this course. Basically I started just because the course was offered. It is for free, you do not need special skills for it and design has always been interesting to me. But there is also an other reason, why I KEEP ON doing the course: Just because I said, I would do so. I want to keep my word. It is very important to me. I want to challenge myself every day and to feel better afterwards, because I did what I told.

Would you do such a course? And why? Do you keep your word?

Außerdem lernt man da ja echt viel dabei, toll was du da schon alles gemacht hast.

    Corina
